My midwife called the hospital and referred me for further monitoring. So straight after my appointment with her, we loaded up the car and headed for the hospital.
Back to Ward 31, forgot to stop at reception again so husband had to go back and get my hospital notes. Different midwives on this time... lead back again to Bed 2! What are the chances?!
The Unit was a bit busier this time, well just after I arrived I think another 3 or 4 people arrived, all with different problems, it was rather interesting.
Again I was sent to the toilet to do a sample, blood pressure checked and then to my horror she asked to do my BMI! was absolutely crap because I'd eaten just before the midwife appointment, was fully clothed and full. So it was 37.2. Oh well I am going under the consultant anyway, I can't keep apologising to everyone for my weight. It is what it is and at 37 weeks pregnant, with pelvic pain there is not a lot I can do to fight it at this stage. The more I try and be good the worse I am. Bleughhh.
So she listened to the heartbeat again, confirmed that the baby's head was engaged! Then she hooked me back up to the CTG monitor. We sat there watching the little one's heart rate. Some movement happened straight away but then the baby totally went to sleep for a while. Again the glass of their cold water woke it up and we were ok but this time we were on the monitor for 56mins.
I asked if I needed to see a Doctor as my midwife had said they may refer me to a Doctor due to this being a second attendance, but she said not until the third time & then they will talk about inducing me.
We headed home, next appointment - Friday 15th May!
