Things we did this week:
Monday started off very exciting as we went to the shopping centre with the bestie and we met Santa! Jack was a very good boy and happily sat on Santa's knee and posed for a photo. I also jumped in and posed too haha. We then went for lunch and pootled around the shops for a bit before going back to the bestie's house. The boys opened their presents from Santa and Jack got a book!

Tuesday was baby group. We went for a little walk around the park first and then we headed to the children's centre for lunch. I'd been telling the other Mum's that I was worried as almost 2 weeks down the line of the weaning journey I'm still having no luck getting any food into Jack and he won't open his mouth for it. They told me to try a piece of bread & butter, or some baby rice made up with his milk. I decided to take their advice on both counts and.... it worked! :-)

He chomped the piece of bread and actually ate some baby rice!
Bread went in!

Baby Rice went in!
Wednesday was Jolly Babies music with Mummy! He seems to really enjoy that class! Especially at the end when they bring out the bubble machine. After that we sat and had lunch, I was wondering if he would eat again. Woohoo baby rice was a hit again! So happy! Afterwards we walked to Asda and I bought loads of similar things, different flavour baby porridge etc... that evening he opened his mouth for food! (see milestones!)

Thursday was baby Rhyme time at the library and Jack was practising his sitting up skills. He seemed to really enjoy it! I haven't taken him to Thursday swimming for a while, seem to have gone off it. Not good! The bestie also came over and we did baby footprints! Should get back to that soon! I went out on Thursday night to meet some people from work. My first time leaving him in an evening! Of course I left him with Daddy so all was fine and I was actually feeling ok about being away from him. Although I was only gone for 2 hours or so and mostly, all I did was talk about him!

Almost there but still floppy!
Friday we spent the day with the bestie! We made some salt dough creations, did the boy's hand and footprints. They turned out super cute and we need to paint them soon! Friday evening I went out for my Uncle's 50th drinks with ex work colleagues (I used to work with my Uncle!) It was a nice evening and I left baby Jack with Daddy again. All was fine and I stayed out a little longer than Thursday night. (The biggie will be next week when I go to his proper 50th party!).

What you looking at?

Salt dough creations!
Saturday was a day at home in which we did nothing :-) I decided to get a little bit creative and mix some veg with baby rice & milk. He ate it! Woohoo!

Post meal time! :-)
Sunday we went up to my Mum's for the day which was nice. We went to a Christmas Market and switching on of the Xmas Lights, however we didn't stay that long as it started to rain hehe.

At the Christmas Market!

Best thing this week:
The best thing this week was that Jack started to eat! Progress!!!

Mummy's thoughts & diary:
What a relief he started eating! So so so so happy! At least I won't have to ask the health visitors for any help next week at clinic. Though they are bound to annoy me or pick at me for one reason or another.

Really lovely week was had this week and I have nothing to moan about :-)

Was very nervous and sad to leave Jack in evenings, but he was in bed within an hour of me leaving both times and I think Oliver enjoyed looking after him alone. Jack was a good boy which helps! Slightly nervous about leaving him next week as I know I will need to stay out longer, can't leave by 10 this time! It will also be the furthest away I have ever been from him.... ouch :-(
