So the baby shower day has finally arrived! Tara & Ger had arrived from Ireland the night before (via Glasgow!) and we had a nice evening catching up! This morning I left them in the house while I went to antenatal class (see post here!) and they began getting the place ready!
The Cake :-)
Before I knew it my house was full with 25 people!
The cake was made by my fairy godmother Debbie and it was absolutely amazing, both to look at and to eat! (a bit too nice!!) and I was really happy with that! Yum yum yum!

Guess the baby picture game!
then changed all of the pics into black and white and printed one out for each guest. Everyone was given a name badge to wear and it was a nice ice breaker for those that didn't know anyone because they were all walking around inspecting each other. It was quite amusing :-)
Me and My Girls Back Together!
Of course there was a lot of speculation about what I am having, so this prompted me to do another super fun game! I asked everyone to do their baby predictions, I left this chart out and got them to write on it as the day went on. I also posted this on twitter & instagram for my followers to have a guess too! Have received a lot of guesses so far which has been really fun. I also asked for a name suggestion as naming this baby is challenging!

Baby Scan Game
Another game that was played was the baby scan game. This was a printed out sheet that I stuck on the wall and let people fill in the answer sheet at their leisure. This was a popular game had some really good feedback about it!
Sue's Sperm Fail ;-)
One of my favourite games of the day was pin the sperm on the egg, otherwise known as "The Great Sperm Race!" I think we got the biggest giggles out of this game as the wonderful Sue was slightly out with her calculation - still everyone really enjoyed this one!!! :-) (Sorry Sue!)
Guess the baby food!
Me being brave
There was also the dreaded "Taste the Baby Food Game!" I didn't force everyone into this one but more than I expected tried it! Including me! The flavours were pretty disgusting & one of them which was "Simply Squash" actually tasted like rotten teabags! It was quite amusing though!
When all the games were over and done with the boys upstairs (Oliver & Ger) who escaped before the 6th lady arrived (haha) marked all of the papers and I gathered everyone together in the dining room.
I then gave out some cups and medals to the winners & thanked everyone for coming and giving me such a nice day! I then got everyone to sign my alternative guest book before they left. It was a really amazing day and had such a nice time with the girls in my life! Of course there were many amazing gifts and I am now totally prepared for the new arrival & totally excited!!!!
