As we have recently moved into the area this was my first visit to the new GP surgery. First visit of many now I guess! I was very impressed at the speed in which I was seen. The GP surgery seems nice, can book in on screen on arrival so no need to wait in the queue at reception.

I asked the Doctor what I needed to do next and she said to look after myself, take folic acid (which I told her that I had been doing since about a month ago) and see the midwife. I asked her when I should see or hear anything from the midwife and she explained to me that I should make an appointment on the way out. I asked if it wasn't a little early to make an appointment with them and she assured me it should be fine.
I explained to the doctor that I was still running and was this ok and told her that I was rather worried about gaining a lot of weight during the pregnancy. She told me to keep active and eat as healthily as possible. I have such concern as my weight is already 2 stone up from where I would like it to be so I really need to watch it!
She said I didn't really need to see her again unless I have any issues! She wished me well and sent me on my way. I made the midwife appointment on the way out and stared at the appointment slip for a while after. The appointment was for next week! Ahhhhhhh
I still can't believe this is happening to me! But I am glad that it is!
