Things we did this week:
This week we had a fairly quiet week! We went to baby group again on Tuesday, seems to have become a weekly thing now!!

We had a postnatal check with the health visitor, which was supposed to be on Friday but as we were at our friend's house on Wednesday when her health visitor was there we had a check there and he got 2 for the price of 1! All was fine! He was happy with his growth and development.

We also went to visit both of the Nans and met Aunt Cassidy for the first time.

Best thing this week:
Hanging out with the bestie of course!

Mummy's thoughts & diary!
I had physio this week and with much careful planning & feeding managed to get Jack to sleep through the whole thing. She looked at my back, foot and pelvis pulled it and cracked it & said no exercise or running for 6-9 months or until I stop breastfeeding. Only then will the hormones causing the pelvic problems go away. She said I must not stop breastfeeding, I need to do what's best for him, but I really do need to lose this weight! She advised me to do walking & swimming (yuk) only!

That said this week was going swimmingly until I was met with a very very very unhappy baby on Friday. I have to say this Friday was my most challenging Mummy day yet, apart from the first 2 weeks hospital saga!

So we were expecting a visit from an old friend from uni & I was trying to get ready. Jack would not stop crying it was weird. I was trying to have a tidy up because the house was an absolute mess! Jack was having none of it. He wouldn't sit in his bouncer, he wouldn't lay on the playmat. Only Mummy would do and only a walking Mummy! Sooo I remembered I had a sling & popped him in that so I could at least have hands free. He settled immediately and I was amazed. But I was done for every time I tried to take him out.

Magic Sling
I was getting really stressed and knew that my friend was not going to experience a nice visit, so I reluctant cancelled her and rescheduled. With the afternoon free & a lovely day outside I thought I'd try the old put him in the pushchair trick and go for a walk.

We walked to my friend and we both took our babies into town. To cut a long story short I walked with my bad back for over 7 miles & he cried 80% of the time. It was hard. To cut the story even more after a whole evening of screaming... Worst day ever!!!! We decided to try some gripe water. I don't know if it worked or if 12 hours of screaming exhausted him but he fell asleep and slept for nearly 5 hours!

The next day he woke up happy and we had a nice day at home!
