Time for a change...

Hello blogland,

Today I have realised that it is time for a change.

Since my little wobble a few weeks ago I have realised that I am a little bored of Weight Watchers. Of course weight watchers is amazing but I have done all I can do there now.

Weight Watchers has been the most fantastic tool in my life to get rid of my 101lbs. But through research and education I think that at the stage I am at now, I need to use a different approach.

My fitness guru Jillian Michaels has really got into my brain lately and has pointed out that what I am wanting to lose now are "vanity pounds" these are pounds that I want to lose but my body does not necessarily think I need to lose. Therefore the weight loss approach to these pounds is a whole different ball game than losing my first 100lbs!

She recommends calorie counting, and fortunately I have the tools available to me that I need in order to do this. I have a monitor to know how many calories I am burning off through exercise and I have a new app on my phone to count the calories in!

I have calculated the formula to work out how many calories I need and the deficit that I need to create in order to lose so I will be able to lose my wobble gain and more....

Also I will save money that I spend on WW. Let's hope I don't have to re-join again in the future!!!

  1. I think you are ready for this and sometimes something different helps us refocus. You need to be in the mindset that you are a slim person wishing to get rid of a little weight as opposed to the big person you once was. Love you loads and you are truly an inspiration. Sue x

  2. This sounds like a great idea - and I agree that sometimes a plan can only take you so far! I still feel like I have a way to go on Weight Watchers but I'm not sure if it'll be something I stay with forever. I definitely think its doable in the long-term but I think I'd just get bored of counting points all the time and need to change things up to stop myself feeling resentful of it! Hope you get on ok with myfitnesspal - I used it when I trialed slimfast a few weeks back and its so easy to use so its definitely the way to go I feel!
